Planete Enfants & Developpement
Created in 1984, Planète Enfants & Développement is an apolitical and non-denominational international solidarity organization registered under the French Law of Associations (1901). PE&D seeks to improve the quality of the overall environment of very young vulnerable children, from health to education, social integration, family support, gender equality and protection against violence. Benefiting from over three decades of expertise in the field of early childhood, PE&D’s goal is to foster the positive development of vulnerable children aged 0 to 6 years old in the best conditions possible and to ensure their rights.
PE&D is present in 4 countries and operates in situations and with groups of people that they know intimately. PE&D has been working in Cambodia since 1984, Vietnam since 1993, Nepal since 1997 and Burkina Faso since 2004. At Planète Enfants & Développement, they do not replace, but rather work with, their beneficiaries and local actors in order to strengthen their capabilities. All of their projects aim to empower their partners and the individuals with whom they work.
PE&D are currently supporting over 250+ vulnerable families with very young children in HCMC, mainly Tan Phu and Thu Duc city. In cooperation with local authorities and with their local partner, Association for Child Right Protection (HACRP), they provided food packages worth 500K each month, which were then delivered to or collected by one family. Below you will find testimonies and quotes directly from some of the people who benefitted from this crucial support.
